2026 MLK Day - Stand Up Camp

You hear coaches yell "just stand up" all the time. It's harder than it looks, but there are principles & skills we will teach at this camp that will make it easer to escape. Wrestlers will be confident when it's time to choose bottom.

All experience levels are welcome.

We will focus on the following:

Finding the proper foot placement and body positioning to have balance and be able to score while countering the top wrestler
Knee sliding to create back pressure and get weight off your hands
How (and when) to get hand control
Preventing & countering mat returns
Creating an attitude of scoring, not just survival
